Meet The Team

Katie Callaghan (She/Her)
Founder
Katie lives with multiple chronic illnesses and created Cards for Bravery at the age of 13 as she was wanting to help other hospitalised and seriously ill children feel less isolated and bring a little joy to their day. You can read more of her story here.
Along with this, Katie is a passionate advocate in the rare disease and chronic illness community working with a range of organisations and charities and is currently undergoing an internship with Rare Youth Revolution. In her spare time, she enjoys arts + crafts, and loves to read A LOT!

Chelsea Wong (She/They)
Admin Volunteer
Chelsea is a recent Business Management and Psychology graduate from the University of Aberdeen. She volunteers for Cards for Bravery because she resonates with their goal—her brother collected messages from her classmates for a card when she was first diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune condition at 14 years old.
When she’s not volunteering, she interns for RARE Youth Revolution and has hobbies in art, writing, crocheting, video making/editing and table tennis.

Rhiannon Cameron (She/Her)
Outreach Volunteer
I’m volunteering with Cards for Bravery as I wanted to be part of something that is making a positive impact on others. I enjoy anything arty/painting & crochet in my spare time too, which is another reason the charity stood out to me.

Annabelle Rafferty (She/Her)
Bravery Pack Volunteer
Annabelle is currently doing an apprenticeship to become an Early Years Practitioner. She enjoys volunteering as making handmade cards and bravery packages helps to brighten the day’s of children with chronic illnesses. She knows this goes a long way and means so much when the children receive them! She loves making handmade cards as she knows they are going to bring happiness and inspiration to children’s lives, she finds making these cards really therapeutic and it expresses her creativity. In Annabelle’s spare time, she enjoys visiting new places, is really into fashion, makeup and running!

Arabella Winchcombe (She/Her)
Activity Pack Volunteer
Arabella is 19 and currently finishing a levels to hopefully go on to a business management degree. She loves volunteering with Cards For Bravery as she loves brightening children and young peoples day, especially as somebody who has chronic illness and spent long periods in hospital. She knows how much difference something as simple as a card can make to somebody and loves being able to help provode this. In her spare time she loves to bake and shop and plan her travelling.

Lola Theoto (She/Her)
General Volunteer
Lola is 16 and is currently studying in her first year of A levels. She loves volunteering for Cards For Bravery as she feels she is giving back to the community and bringing some joy to a persons day. She enjoys playing and teaching tennis, reading and art.

Molly Clark (She/Her)
Social Media Volunteer
Molly is currently in her second year of a Classical Studies degree with the Open University. She volunteers with Cards for Bravery as she has a chronic illness herself and knows the positive effect a card can have on a child or young person. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cross stitching and video gaming.

Delta Dobson (He/They)
TikTok Volunteer
Delta is 19 and is a second year student studying Journalism (BA) at De Montfort University. He volunteers for Cards for Bravery because they want to make a difference and help others. Delta was recently diagnosed with a chronic illness whilst in university which makes him feel quite isolated as he can't do as much as other students. Delta believes that Cards for Bravery could be a massive boost in theirs and others mental health. When he's not volunteering, he writes for his own blog and works alongside a media center in Leicester. They love learning new things! His hobbies include Adventure Time, Playing VR chat and collecting and playing Pokémon!

Margot Bartland (She/They)
TikTok Volunteer
Margot is currently in her last year of High School. She volunteers for Cards for Bravery because she wanted to find a way to help out an organisation she fully resonates with. She enjoys composing music and singing, and playing instruments! She also REALLY loves cats.
